This master plan for Pendleton just south of Falls Park imagines a nature and community center site that is full of outdoor educational and recreational opportunities. The existing schools and neighborhood would have access to the community center, nature center, sport fields, community garden space, wetland and prairie exhibit spaces used as educational destinations to host field trips and/or everyday visits to site. The site is arranged along a trail which connects all of the amenities and promotes a healthy and active lifestyle encouraging people to be outdoors and to connect to nature.
